COVID-19 Protocols

What to Expect at Your Next Appointment

We are very happy to be seeing our wonderful patients and families again. As dental professionals, our top priority is to keep our patients and their loved ones safe and healthy. Our practice is adhering to the American Dental Association’s guidance for providing dental care during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are staying up to date with the latest and best information about protecting our patients during the pandemic through online education and extensive review of clinical information.
Here’s what you can expect:

  • Before each appointment
    • We will contact you for a pre-appointment screening to check on your current health status.
    • We ask that only one parent/guardian per family accompany the patient(s) to the appointment.
    • The parent/guardian will also be asked to remain in our reception area for the duration of the appointment to facilitate social distancing (unless prior arrangements have been made with our office).
  • When you arrive
    • Please wait to meet us at the door of our office for a screening and touchless temperature check.
    • Anyone who enters the building must wear a mask. The patient will be asked to remove the mask once we start our procedure.
    • We have hand sanitizer for you to use when you enter our office.
    • You will see that our reception area is rearranged for social distancing. We no longer have magazines, toys, coffee and water service available during this time.
  • During our appointments
    • Our dental team is wearing additional personal protective equipment (PPE), including face masks, respirators and face shields with surgical gowns or long-sleeved lab coats.
    • Our assistants will be in constant communication with our front office team. They will be checking in with you before and after your child’s appointment to be sure we are answering your questions.

All of this is done with the health of our patients, families and our team as our utmost priority. Even though our office, pediatric dentist and staff may look a bit different, we are still the same inside. We continue to provide you with the highest quality of care possible while keeping your child safe and comfortable during their dental visit.
If you have any questions at all about your child’s dental care or the steps we are taking  to keep everyone safe, please feel free to contact us by phone 425-486-6300 or email info@bothellpediatricdentistry.com.
